Q&A WITH jackie
FEATURED IN THE April 2024 REEDY RECAP board HIGHLIGHT

Q: What is your favorite outdoor activity (and local park, trail, etc.)?

A:  My favorite outdoor activity involves anything with fresh water: walking the creek on our farm in Dacusville, boat days at Lake Jocassee, or waterfall hikes in Brevard.

Q: What is your favorite native plant?

A:  There’s no way I could ever pick one native plant so my favorite native tree is the Fraser Magnolia, favorite shrub is Carolina Allspice, and my favorite native plant is the Joe Pye Weed.

Q: How did you get involved with the FoRR organization?

A:  I got involved with FoRR because our beautiful waterway needs human care and attention. It’s been used and abused for over a century, and I have the capacity to help preserve, protect, and advocate for its health and well-being. That’s important to me for my children, my community, and my state.
